Finally, and on the last day of 2011, more from '68 Comeback. The band, as previously noted, featured a dazzling array of talent, including Peg 'Mo Tucker' (look at that pic above) O'Neill of Gories fame, Darin Lin Wood who played with Fireworks and Blacktop and the esteemed Monsieur Jeffery Evans, who had previously fronted The Gibson Brothers. Gaunt - Jim Motherfucker. Get Hip Records 7". GH-158.

One of the least celebrated of the Ohio-based garage/blues bands, I saw Gaunt on a triple bill at TJs in Newport, Wales with Teengenerate and The New Bomb Turks and they held their own in such acclaimed company. So much so that Gaunt's drummer sat in for the NBT drummer who has injured himself in some way. I suspect this release is Gaunt's best known (based on no firm information whatsoever) and is super-catchy. Enjoy.

Sorry, I've been away for a while. To Spain. Land of Munster Records, who released the CD and double LP versions of this tribute to 70s synth punks, Suicide. This is the 2 x7" version, released by Get Hip, and the Pink Slip Daddy track is unique to this release. The Gories take on Ghost Rider is probably the most well-known track off this, and featured on their 'I Know You Fine, But How You Doin?' LP. Enjoy.
